amazing grace! how sweet the sound.

that saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found.

was blind but now I see.



'twas grace that taught my heart to fear.

and grace my fears relieved:

how precious did that grace appear

the hour I first believed!



through many dangers, toils and snares

I have already come;

'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,

and grace will lead me home.



the Lord has promised good to me.

his word my hope secures;

he will my sheild and portion be

as long as life endures.



yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,

and mortal life shall cease,

I shall possess within the veil

a life of joy and peace.



when I've been there ten thousand years,

bright shining as the sun,

I've no less days to sing God's praise

than when I first begun.

놀라우신 그 은혜, 그 음성 얼마나 감미로운지

나같은 가련한 죄인도 구원하셨도다!

이전엔 잃어버렸던 나의 삶, 이제는 찾았고

눈 멀었던 나, 이제는 보는도다!



두려워 할 줄 알게 하신 것 주님의 은혜요,

두려움에서 놓임 받게 하신 것도 주님의 은혜라.

그 은혜를 내가 처음 깨닫던 그 시간,

오 얼마나 귀한 것이었던가!



수없는 위험과 올가미와 함정을 지나

나 이제 여기 왔도다.

이때까지 안전히 인도하신 것 주님의 은혜요,

그 은혜, 날 하늘 본향으로 인도하리라!



태양처럼 밝은 천국에서

우리가 오래 오래 살며 찬양하여도

우리가 처음 주를 찬양했던 것보다

더 많은 찬양을 주님께 드리리라!



주께서 내게 선한 약속 하시었네.

그의 말씀이 내 소망 든든케 하도다.

주는 나의 방패요 기업이 되시리니

내 생명이 다하는 그 날까지!



멀잖아 이 땅이 녹아지고

태양이 빛을 잃을 때에라도

낮고 천한 곳에서 날 부르신 하느님

영원히 나의 기업이시리라!
